A police officer, who was wounded Sunday in a mine blast in southeast Turkey, died Monday in a hospital.
The police officer, Murat Celikhasi, and three of his fellow officers were wounded when their vehicle was hit by a remote-controlled mine in Cukurca town of the southeastern province of Hakkari.
Celikhasi was resuscitated at the scene of the powerful explosion which shrivelled the police car into a pile of metal and shattered windows of nearby houses.
