At least 16 people, including two professors, were detained in a police crackdown after suspects allegedly took part in a case of organ transplant fraud.

In a police operation in Ankara, two professors, a pharmacist and a number of health workers were detained after allegedly listing donors and patients as relatives with fake documents.

The suspects were being interrogated by police as of Thursday night.
