Eleven people are reported to be infected with H7N9 bird flu in four regions of China, said health officials on Thursday.

Local health officials said eight Chinese people remained in critical condition and the others remain in a stable condition.

The Health and Family Planning Commission in China issued a statement saying "no proof was found of the H7N9 virus spreading from human to human".

The statement said health officials have been inspecting local hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong to diagnose and treat H7N9 patients.

The H7N9 virus has killed 25 people since the beginning of 2014 in the country and 113 people were diagnosed with bird flu.
