The death toll from the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) outbreak in Saudi Arabia has risen to 51 as 2 more people passed away.
The latest fatalities are from Riyadh, but no prospective pilgrim has been infected, the Saudi Health Ministry said after health controls at the holy sites.
Saudi Arabia has been the country worst hit by the virus, with the World Health Organization (WHO) reporting it has been informed of 144 cases of MERS infection worldwide.
119 cases have been confirmed in Saudi Arabia, 4 in the UK, 2 in Jordan, France and Germany each, 3 in Tunisia, Italy and Qatar each, and 5 in the United Arab Emirates.Last Mod: 10 Ekim 2013, 14:11
