Cities across the world are turning off their lights for one hour to raise awareness for the annual Earth Hour campaign, aiming to raise money for local environmental projects via energy saving.
Organized by the World Wildlife Fund, cities and towns across New Zealand, Australia, China and Singapore began switching off their lights to raise money for a number of wlidlife preservation projects.
Up to 150 countries are set to take part in the event, with entire skyscrapers and landmarks blacking out at 8:30 local time.
New York's Empire State Building, Moscow's Kremlin and the Eiffel Tower in Paris will be among the places to switch off on Saturday.Last Mod: 29 Mart 2014, 17:49
