Armed assault in Salahaddin province in northern Iraq left 9 Sahva forces dead.

Tuz Khurmatu police told AA correspondent that the attackers wearing police uniforms targeted Sahva forces and 9 of them were killed at the attack. A commander was among the victims.

On February 2, a suicide bomber targeted Sahva forces 20 kilometers away from capital Baghdad and 19 of them were killed, 40 wounded.

Sahva Forces were established by Sunni Arab tribes in Al-Anbar, Salahaddin, Babel, Mosul, Diyala and Baghdad in order to fight el-Qaida in 2006.
