Attacks in Iraq leave 5 dead, 35 injured

A suicide attack in Kirkuk killed one person, injured 32 others, while another attack in Fallujah killed 4 and injured 3 as attacks on security and armed units increase.

Attacks in Kirkuk and Fallujah provinces of Iraq on Wednesday left 5 dead and 35 injured.

Two separate suicide attacks occurred in Kirkuk. Officials told Turkish press that the first attack targeting a check point on the Kirkuk-Tikrit road killed a peshmerga and injured 11 of them early in the morning.

The second attack was in northern Rahimawa district of Kirkuk and targeted the office of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. A total of 21 people were injured, 6 of whom were in severe condition.

In Fallujah province, 4 people, 3 of whom were police officers, were killed and 3 people were injured in an armed attack. Attackers opened fire at a check point in southwestern An-Nezan village.
