Head of Iraqi Turkmen Front Arshad Al-Salihi said the incident in Hawijah happened after political sides agreed with each other.

The aim was to cause unrest in Kirkuk, Al-Salihi told AA on Thursday.

Reminding that he made a statement about the incidents on April 23, Al-Salihi said, "in my statement, I told about the possibility of a military intervention and said that some of the realities would become clear. The incidents coincided with what I had said."

Stating that the governor of Kirkuk did not consult any political circles in the region, and made a deal with Nuri Al-Maliki government about the deployment of peshmarga in the region.

He added that the governor should have respected the will of people.

Besides, the political leaders and representatives in the region should have been informed about the security vacuum and that vacuum would be eliminated by the deployment of peshmargas, he said.

It was a surprise for us to see them in the region, he said.
