An Iraqi candidate was gunned down in the northern city of Mosul on Thursday, a security source said.
Watheq al-Ghadanfari was shot dead inside a shopping mall in northern Mosul as he waited for a friend to attend a mourning tent, police officer Ghaleb al-Tae told Anadolu Agency.
Al-Ghadanfari, a TV anchor, was campaigning for a seat in the Iraqi parliament during next month's parliamentary election.
