Speaking to the AA, Osman said that they wished that the tension between Irbil and Baghdad would conclude through dialogue and said, "People of Iraq want peace. We do not want any conflicts between Iraqi army and Peshmerga forces. However, if they obligate us, then we will resist with all our power."

He underlined that the people of Iraq were tired of fighting and said, "Iraqi people are tired from fighting, they just want peace and a good life. The whole nation and the country was ruined because of Saddam's wrong policy. That is why we do not support any conflicts between Iraqi army and Peshmerga forces. What we wish is that the government of al-Maliki will revise their decision once again. They have to get over issues by dialogue. This is our expectation."
