The leader of a Syrian opposition group has written to the U.S. secretary of state saying the international community should take a stronger stance against genocide in Syria and the destruction of the historic city of Aleppo.
"Syrian National Coalition and Free Syrian Army will continue to protect all Syrian civilian's including minorities' rights," Ahmed al-Jarba, the leader of the coalition, wrote in a letter of Secretary of State John Kerry.
Al-Jarba said that news reports alleging deliberate damage to churches in Kesab, a primarily Armenian-populated town in northwestern Syria, did not reflect the truth.
He also stressed that the coalition and the Free Syrian Army would keep fighting against both the Syrian administration and other radical groups in Syria, which sometimes promote sectarianism.Last Mod: 14 Nisan 2014, 13:08
