Kyrgyz pensioner wants to go to Mecca by cycling

World Bulletin / News Desk

A Kyrgyz pensioner turned to authorities with an unusual request. The aged man has planned to perform the Hajj to Mecca on his bike, reported the Islam-today.

A group of other pilgrims and Nurkamilem Saskeevym was worked out the route.

However the mufti suddenly spoke out against the initiative of Muslim pensioner. An elderly man learned that the religious board of the pilgrims prohibited to use any form of transport other than aircraft. This reason is the fact that Saudi Arabia allocates a limited number of permits for entry for each individual country each year.

This year quotas for pilgrims from Kyrgyzstan were reduced. The reason is the global reconstruction of mosques in Medina and Mecca.

The majority of Kyrgyzstan population is Muslim, these quotas is definitely not enough.
