A mosque in the Russian province of Volgograd was attempted to set on fire by an unknown man, the Interior Ministry's said.

The police are investigating to identify the man who tried to set fire to the mosque, throwing a bottle filled with inflammable substance through the window; yet he failed as the bottle was not broken.

Another Molotov cocktail attack targeting an Islamic center used as a mosque took place two days ago. The suspect was caught on cameras and televisions in Russia had shown the video.

Two people also were killed trying to explode a mosque in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic within Russian Federation. In the courtyard of the mosque, automatic weapons, two guns, grenades and ammunition had been seized.
