Qatar has opened a new Islamic center in Italy to act a bridge between the local Muslim community and other communities.
The Qatar Charity (QC) CEO Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari opened the Radwan Islamic Centre in Colle Valle D’isa, Siena, in a ceremony which was attended by a number of Italian officials.
“The Radwan Centre represents the enthusiasm of Qatar Charity to continue its work in Italy through projects that serve the interests of Muslims,” said Al Kuwari.
The center, which also includes a mosque and a school, will provide a range of facilities for cultural, social, sports and leisure activities, as well as offering Arabic language classes.
About 3,500 Muslims in the town of Colle Valle D’isa are expected to benefit from the center, which was praised by the Mayor of Colle Valle D’isa, who personally allocated the land for the center.Last Mod: 06 Kasım 2013, 16:42
