Crimea's deputy prime minister Rustam Temirgaliyev has revealed that the political Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir will be banned in the peninsula in accordance with Russian law after the Crimea was annexed by Russia.
'This organization is banned in Russia and should therefore be banned in Crimea as well,' he said.
Hizb ut-Tahrir has been active in Crimea for a decade, where it has held many conferences and even publishes a newspaper.
Noting that the organization doesn't have much of an influence over the Muslim Crimean Tatars in the mainly Russian populated peninsula, Temirgaliyev said he believes the few Tatars in the group will now leave it.Last Mod: 07 Nisan 2014, 17:31
