Turkish hafiz Yasar Cuhadar ranked first at the international Quran recitation contest in Morocco.

Cuhadar was given his award by the King of Morocco Mohammed VI on Wednesday, at a ceremony held on the day of Mawlid al-Nabi (birthday of the Prophet Mohammed) in Rabat, capital of Morocco.

Representing Turkey, hafiz Cuhadar said he was happy to be the winner of the contest.

International Quran Recitation Contest was held on January 14-16 at the Hussein II mosque in Casablanca with the participation of 36 contesters from 21 countries.

Congratulations for the Winner !!This Mosque is called Hassan II and not Hussein II.
