Egyptian Secretary General of Higher Council for Islamic Affairs Salah Sultan said that Turkey, Egypt and Malaysia would be the protectors of Islamic world, and Turkey and Egypt were the unifying power of Islamic world.

Assessing the latest developments in Syria to AA, Sultan claimed that armed forces of Iran and Hezbollah have helped Assad regime to remain in power so far.

Sultan stated that Russia and China remained silent against the forces sent by Iran and Hezbollah to fight in Syria, and this strengthened Assad's hand.

Indicating that Muslims, who were against Assad, provided only humanitarian aid to Syrian people, Sultan highlighted, "everyone appreciates Turkey's humanitarian and moral support to Syrian citizens."

Sultan pointed out that Turkey was a great power, and in the upcoming years, Turkey, Egypt and Malaysia would be the protectors of Islamic world.

Sultan claimed that Israel agreed with Assad and bombed Syria, and said that they had not seen Assad to fire a single bullet on Israel which had occupied Golan Heights for 40 years
