Left-wing nationalist Ollanta Humala is nearly 4 percentage points ahead of right-wing lawmaker Keiko Fujimori in the run-up to Peru's presidential election on June 5, a poll showed on Thursday.
The survey, conducted by local pollster CPI and published in the newspaper Correo, says Humala, who has moderated his once fiery tone, has 40.6 percent support. Fujimori, the daughter of jailed former President Alberto Fujimori, got 36.8 percent in the poll.
