EASY GROUP FOR TRABZONSPOR
Champions League group stage draw was made in Monaco. Trabzonspor will play against Inter Milan of Italy, CSKA Moscow of Russia and Lille of France in the European Champions League Group B.Sadri Sener, president of the soccer club, said that it was the best possible draw for them.

GADDAFI ESCAPES WITH 25 TONS OF GOLD
It was claimed that the toppled leader of Libya, Moammar Gaddafi, confiscated an important part of Libya's gold reserves as he fled his palace in Tripoli. Meanwhile, the opposition forces have taken control of Gaddafi's official residence. They looted the residence.

DAVUTOGLU EXTENDS SUPPORTS TO LIBYAN NATIONAL COUNCIL
The re-building of Libya was high on agenda of the Libya Contact Group which convened in Istanbul. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey would extend support for creating of a prosperous Libya.

LIBYA CONTACT GROUP URGES UN
Libya Contact Group has held a critical meeting in Istanbul after opposition forces took control of Tripoli. In a statement at the end of a meeting in Istanbul, the Libya Contact Group urged the United Nations Security Council to pass a resolution currently under discussion to unfreeze Libyan assets and agreed to free up these assets in an "expedited" manner. Representatives from 28 countries, the Arab League, the African Union, the European Union, NATO and the United Nations attended the meeting in Istanbul.

'GIANT' RIVALS
Trabzonspor, which will join the UEFA Champions League after UEFA decided to exclude Fenerbahce over allegations of match-fixing, will play against Italy's Inter, Russia's CSKA Moscow and France's Lille in Group B.

DAVUTOGLU MAKES IMPORTANT STATEMENTS
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who appeared on a television programme on NTV made important statements regarding Syria and cross-border operation. Replying to a question on new method in fight against terrorism, Davutoglu said that the regional administration in northern Iraq should eradicate terrorism, but if they failed, Turkey had the right to interfere.

TELECOMMUNICATION ADMINISTRATION TO GIVE RECORDS
Telecommunication Administration will give recordings of phone conversations made in the spot where Hrant Dink was murdered to criminal court in Istanbul. Earlier Telecommunication Administration did not want to give recordings on the ground that it would violate private life.

FENERBAHCE TO APPLY TO PLAY IN BANK ASYA FIRST DIVISION
Ali Koc, deputy chairman of the Fenerbahce soccer club, has said that they would apply to the Turkish Football Federation later in the day to play in the Bank Asya First Division. "If our participation to the UEFA Champions League is inconvenient, we should not play in the Super Toto Super League too," he said.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce's appeal against their exclusion from this season's Champions League over a match-fixing investigation was rejected by Turkish Football Federation.

BRIDGES AND HIGHWAYS TO BE SOLD
The Privatization Administration will sell 1975-km highway and the bridges over the Istanbul Strait for a period of 25 years. Three leading companies, Anadolu Endustri Holding, Fiba Group and Nural Insaat, formed a consortium to win the giant tender.

Fenerbahce's exclusion from this season's Champions League has lead to a chaos. Fenerbahce's appeal against UEFA decision was rejected by the Turkish Football Federation. Ali Koc, deputy chairman of the club, said that they would apply to the Turkish Football Federation to play in the Bank Asya First Division after holding talks with the players. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said that it was a extrajudicial punishment.

FENERBAHCE TO APPLY TO PLAY IN BANK ASYA
Fenerbahce soccer club's vice president Ali Koc made important statements on Thursday and said: "Footballers have made a decision. They want to play in Bank Asya 1st League." Koc said that the club would apply to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) on Friday to play in Bank Asya.

"WHAT UPSETS US IS WE GOT ALL WE HAVE STOLEN"
In new voice recording allegedly belonging to former chief of General Staff Gen. Isik Kosaner, he says regarding documents of Balyoz (Sledgehammer) plan that all the documents were thought to have been destroyed by the military, but they saw them in the indictment prepared by civilian prosecutors into the plan. ?What upsets us is that we got all we have in the 1st Army stolen. We were involved in this shame," he says.

HERE IS THE LETTER
UEFA has sent a letter to the Turkish Football Federation before excluding Fenerbahce from the Champions League in 2011-2012 season. In the letter, UEFA said that UEFA and the international football world could not accept participation of a soccer club which was accused of match-fixing, in the Champions League.

Trabzonspor will play against Inter Milan of Italy, CSKA Moscow of Russia and Lille of France in the European Champions League Group B. The club will play its first match in the group against Inter on September 14.

CRISIS IN FENERBAHCE
Crisis is growing in Fenerbahce which has been withdrawn from the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League over allegations of match-fixing. Fenerbahce Deputy President Nihat Ozdemir who visited Aziz Yildirim in Metris Prison on Thursday announced that he resigned. Ali Koc, vice-president of Fenerbahce soccer club, said that they wanted to play in Bank Asya 1st League.

JUDGE PUTS PRESSURE
The court wanted base station records to find the person who was caught on camera twice while he was talking on the phone in the spot where Hrant Dink was murdered. Telecommunication Administration did not want to give records on the ground that it violates private life. However the court said the final word: "We want records."
