Turkish daily newspapers on Thursday covered the funeral ceremony for Gaziantep blast victims, the missing Turkish cameraman in Syria and the four Turkish troops killed during clashes with terrorist organization PKK. The Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
All Turkish dailies covered the funeral ceremony of six victims of a deadly blast which took place on Monday in southeastern province of Gaziantep. A car full of explosives was detonated in Gaziantep on Monday night which killed nine people including four children. Turkish president, prime minister, several ministers, opposition party leader and many others attended the funeral ceremony which took place in the province on Wednesday. Turkish Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Sahin and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spouse Emine Erdogan were sharing the pains of families of victims and trying to ease them through out the funeral ceremony, said dailies MILLIYET and SABAH.
Another topic which was covered by most of the Turkish dailies was the missing Turkish journalist in Syria. YENI SAFAK said that nobody has heard from him for more than 60 hours. Turkish cameraman Cuneyt Unal was working for Arabic Alhurra Television in Aleppo before he went missing.
Lastly, Turkish dailies covered their front pages with another saddening news story. On Wednesday, four Turkish troops were killed and six others were wounded in a clash with PKK terrorists in Semdinli town of the southeastern province of Hakkari.
