All Turkish dailies covered Turkey's Women's Junior Volleyball Team's victory over Serbia in three sets to claim the gold medal in the Women's Junior European Volleyball Championship in Ankara. According to daily MILLIYET that the team's new target is to claim the world title.
Another topic which was covered by most of the Turkish dailies was the attacks which killed hundreds of people in Syria over the weekend. Daily SABAH headlined "Another massacre from an executioner" and stated that the town of Deraya where is a suburb of Damascus was destroyed and at least 320 people were killed. According to daily ZAMAN that Deraya was a Sunni town and after three days long bombings, there were more than 200 dead bodies including many children.
