Turkish dailies on Friday covered the protests in Egypt and Germany's approval over the Patriot air defense system. The Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
Most dailies covered the German cabinet's approval of deployment of NATO's air defense system in Turkey. Daily MILLIYET stated that the German cabinet agreed on Thursday to send two Patriot batteries to Turkey along with 400 German troops.
Turkish dailies also covered the clashes between supporters and opponents of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in Cairo. Daily CUMHURIYET stated that 7 people were killed and 684 were injured at the street fights outside the presidential palace over the constitution draft. Egypt's Republican Guard ordered protestors to leave the area where demonstrations took place and covered the scene with barbed wire.
