Turkish dailies on Thursday covered the developments over the February 28 coup case which took five retired generals to testify to prosecutor and the global Valentine's Day event where 1 billion women are expected to dance to oppose violence against women. All of the Turkish dailies covered the recall of an Ankara courthouse for five retired Turkish generals to testify to prosecutor as part of the February 28 coup case's investigation. Generals were taken to the courthouse by accompany of police officers. "Detention for four generals", daily MILLIYET and stated that 3 retired generals 2 retired admirals were taken into custody, later on 4 of them were arrested.
Turkish dailies also covered the February 14, Valentine's Day dance to oppose violence against women from many countries. Daily VATAN stated that on Thursday 1 billion women all around the world are expected to dance to protest abuse, rape and violence against women. It added that women from several Turkish cities will dance throughout the day and 193 countries are taking part in the event.
