Turkish dailies on Monday covered Turkish premier's statements in Turkey's southeastern Mardin province, the approval for the people in the second delegation to be sent to Imrali island and Turkey's first domestic research ship. All of the Turkish dailies covered Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech in a mass inauguration ceremony in Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin on Sunday. "Don't come to us with Turkish or Kurdish ethnic nationalism" headlined daily MILLIYET over Turkish premier's statement of, "In the peace process no one shall come to us with Kurdish or Turkish ethnic nationalism issues. Our understanding of nationalism is humanity and patriotism." Daily SABAH also added, "Those who claim their nation to be superior is following the devil, the Kurd, Turk, Arab, Laz are all my brothers" referring to Erdogan's speech.
Turkish dailies also covered the announcement of the second delegation to go to Imrali for the peace talks with Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned head of terrorist PKK. "Approval for the second Imrali delegation" headlined daily MILLIYET over Turkish prime minister's approval of the names of the three people from Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) to attend the peace talks. Selahattin Demirtas, Pervin Buldan and Ahmet Turk were approved by Erdogan, according to the daily.
Most dailies also covered the launch of Turkey's first domestically manufactured research vessel TUBITAK Marmara on Sunday. "First domestic seismic vessel on sea" headlined daily TURKIYE which is designed to observe undersea operations and to conduct oil exploration activities.
