Turkish dailies covered the final situation of the kidnapped Turkish civil servants along with their photos released by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers- Party (PKK) members. Organization's founding leader Abdullah Ocalan had reportedly ordered his militants the release of the hostages. PKK published their photos and information about their conditions.

-First footage of the hostages- headlined daily Taraf quoting Ocalan as -Set them free-. The PKK members said they would release the hostages in 10 days according to the daily.

Another topic covered by Turkish dailies was Turkey-Greece High Level Cooperation Council which took place in Istanbul. Daily Vatan said -Mia Kalimera- in its headline, meaning -good morning- in Greek. 25 different treaties were signed between the two countries during the visit of Greek Prime Minister in Turkey.

The capture of the suspect of the fatal attacks on Armenian women that resulted one death and three injuries, was on the front page of daily Milliyet. The clue which led to his capture was a blood-stain on one of the crime scenes.

Lastly all Turkish dailies covered the funeral of famous Turkish Singer Muslum Gurses who had a large fan base mostly among undereducated Turkish youth live in slums of big cities. His dominant musical style was called "Arabesque" in Turkish pointing to Middle Eastern melodies with Turkish lyrics. Gurses later used western rhythms and is known to have a strong style in Turkish traditional folk music.
