All of the dailies covered the details gathered about the two car bomb blasts in Reyhanli, near the Syrian border that killed at least 46 people and wounded more than 100 others on Saturday.
Daily MILLIYET headlined "Hired guns", saying that the nine people who have been detained in connection with the blasts were cooperating with Syrian intelligence. Milliyet quoted Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying "Some try to push us into a dirty game. We will not fall into the trap."
As its headline, HABERTURK also quoted Erdogan as saying "Attack against our brotherhood", adding that Erdogan said "Some tell me to change our policy towards Syria. Shall I ignore (the massacre in Banias)- The criticisms aim at sowing discord within my nation".
YENI SAFAK headlined "They confessed", and "Planning of massacre took one month", mentioning that the detainees confessed their crime, adding that the two cars used were bought a year ago, and hidden in a store where they were laden with bombs during last 30 days.
SABAH headlined "Order by Assad, trigger by Mihrac", explaining that the terrorist organization named the Urgent Ones (THKP-C Acilciler), which was trying to recruit Arab Nusayri youth in Hatay to fight in Assad's army in Syria, and attached to Mihrac Ural, organized the blasts. Sabah added that Assad allegedly told the intelligence: "Plan an attack in a way to turn Turkey into hell".
VATAN gave place to the child victims aged 1.5, 8 and 14, emphasizing that the victims were mostly children and women.
Daily TURKIYE pointed out that May 12, one day after the blasts, was the most painful Mother's Day in Turkey, referring the children and mothers died.
MILLIYET headlined "This derby is unforgettable", while Yeni Safak headlined "Derby consolation to Fenerbahçe", meaning that Fenerbahçe has beaten the already-champion Galatasaray off, while it lost the championship.
VATAN headlined "Nobody sorry", saying that while Fenerbahce won the game, Galatasaray was not sorry either as it had the average advantage which already renders it the champion of the league.
Retreat of PKK
Some dailies covered the withdrawal of the PKK members in Tunceli, an eastern province of Turkey, as they came across with picnicking people. Daily AKSAM quoted one of the militans as saying "Some of the groups in Tunceli region retreated, while the rest is preparing to do so", and "This is our first time in 20 years meeting civillians".
SABAH titled its news "Picnickers' withdrawal memory with PKK", mentioning that a group making picnic came across with the militants retreating.
Daily TURKIYE and HABERTURK says that the militants advised the picnicking group not to further proceed in the field due to the mines.
