Highlighting Prime Minister Erdogan's comments on a possible presidential system, all dailies quoted Erdogan as saying "discussions must take place in Turkey on a possible presidential or semi-presidential system while the new constitution is being written. If the parliament, at the end of the discussions, decides on a certain system, we would then have nothing to say and accept the decision of the parliament".      

Covering the two Turkish journalists Adem Ozkose and Hamit Coskun who were arrested in Syria, all dailies wrote that the Chairman of Humanitarian Aid Foundation (IHH) Bulent Yildirim met the two journalists at the prison they are staying in and both of them appeared to be in good health condition on Monday. Yildirim's visit came after Syrian and Iranian officials made attempts to arrange this meeting between Yildirim and the two Turkish journalists. The two Turkish journalists were last seen on March 9.      

Dailies also drew attention to a decision made by the Disciplinary Board of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) on early Monday. The board decided that there was no match-fixing or inducement in Turkish leagues. The board gave no penalties to any Turkish club. The board decided that Fenerbahce President Aziz Yildirim, Trabzonspor President Sadri Sener, Besiktas executive Serdal Adali and Besiktas Coach Tayfur Havutcu were innocent. The board decided to bar football player Ibrahim Akin from games for three years for influencing the score of a game between Fenerbahce and Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi (IBB).      

Hurriyet daily quoted Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti as saying "Italy is honest in supporting Turkey's EU bid and with no conditions. Turkey is a part of Europe both from a geographical perspective and a historic perspective". Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan is in Italy on Tuesday.
