HURRIYET reports the reactions from university students on PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks that female and male students should not share the same house and under its headline “Listen to us too” covers what students say in their defense. Students told the daily that they have to rent houses due to lack of student dormitories.

STAR’s front page has more remarks from Erdogan and quotes him as saying in Finland that “Private lives of all are under our guarantee. If we had intervened with people’s private lives we would not have received one vote of every two people.”

CUMHURIYET covers what Interior Minister Muammer Guler said on the hot topic of student houses and quotes him as having said yesterday that they will send a directive to governors. The daily says that Guler thinks student houses are used by terrorist organizations to recruit new members and the ministry will take the issue in this dimension.

VATAN also covers the claims that the reason of death of former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and it is now proved that he was poisoned. The results of the research came from Swiss scientists, according to the daily.

CUMHURIYET says on Cyprus question that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is trying really hard for a solution in the island and the two sides of the border that divides Cyprus into two are working on a joint statement to restart talks. The daily also says the jointly composed text might be put in front of two peoples of the island in separate referendums in 2014.
