An earthquake measuring 6.2 points occurred in Bashagard county, Hormozgan province of Iran, causing 15 injuries and damaging 70 villages, IRINN news channel reported on Saturday.
Eight earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.5-4.9 points occurred in the same region thereafter.
The earthquake didn't cause severe damages; one of the injured is in a bad condition, head of Hormozgan province Ibrahim Azizi said.
According to him, rescue operations are being held now. The works on repairing the damages will begin in the near future.
