Two soldiers of the Tripoli-backed army were killed on Saturday during clashes near an air force base in southern Libya, a military source has said.
Clashes erupted earlier in the day between Tripoli-backed troops and armed tribesmen, leading to the death of the two soldiers, according to Mohamed al-Quwain, a spokesman of a force deployed in southern Libya.
He added that four other soldiers were wounded, including one in critical condition.
Al-Quwain said the troops also managed to hold some of the armed tribesmen hostage.
