 The opposition group Damascus Front took control of the strategic Al-Meysat territory in Aleppo, killing 20 Syrian regime soldiers in the process Tuesday, The Anadolu Agency's correspondent reported.

According to a statement by the Syrian Revolution General Commission, Damascus Front forces gained full control of the strategically-important Al-Meysat region in northern Aleppo, which was previously controlled by regime forces.

At least 20 regime soldiers were killed and two others were taken as prisoners, according to the statement.

The statement also said that opposition forces gained control of the Bureyc region in Aleppo.
