Two Yemeni soldiers and a child were killed on Thursday in separate attacks the northern province of Saada.
The soldiers were killed in a landmine explosion in Dammag district, a security source told Anadolu Agency.
The soldiers are members of a Yemeni force monitoring a two-day ceasefire between Salafists and Shiite Houthi rebels in the district.
Meanwhile, a child was killed and three people were injured in a shelling by Houthi rebels on the Dammag, which has a Sunni majority.
The ceasefire was struck between Houthis and Salafists on Thursday following days of deadly fighting that left more than 120 Salafis dead.
The death toll among Houthis is not yet known.
While Salafis accuse the Shiite rebels of slapping a siege on the predominantly Sunni district over refusal to accept their rule, the Houthis claim that they are trying to drive away foreign fighters from the area.Last Mod: 22 Kasım 2013, 09:49
