At least four people were killed and 51 others wounded in an early Friday car bombing near Cairo Security Directorate headquarters, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
The powerful blast damaged the facade of the security HQ and nearby shops.
"The explosion was caused by a car laden with more than one ton of explosives," one security source told Anadolu Agency.
The bombing comes one day before the third anniversary of the January 25 revolution which ended the 30-year rule of autocratic president Hosni Mubarak in early 2011.Last Mod: 24 Ocak 2014, 09:18
