The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Dlamini Zuma said on Wednesday that Egypt could return to being a member of African Union after democratic elections.

Zuma came together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

"If an elected cabinet comes into power in Egypt, the African Union will open its doors," said Zuma.

Zuma also wanted Egypt to move to a democratic system.

Afrcan Union suspended Egypt's membership after the military coup in the country which toppled President Morsi.

Merkel stressed that Egypt should complete its democratic process as soon as possible, adding, "All political actors in Egypt should participate in the democratic process."

Egypt's interim president Adly Mansour will receive a delegation from Bahrain under the presidency of Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain Khalid bin Abdallah.

The delegations from Bahrain and Egypt will discuss topics on the cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.

The official visit of Bahrain's delegation had been planned after the rally of some Arab countries for financially supporting Egypt.
