The Arab League on Wednesday requested from the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces to establish an "Executive Council" for temporary membership in the Arab League.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr announced the League's decision on the "Syrian Executive Council" in a joint press conference with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil al-Araby on Wednesday.
"The Arab League has asked the Syrian National Coalition to establish an 'Executive Council' for temporary membership in the League until elections get held in Syria," Amr stated. "We had taken a decision to suspend Syria's membership in the past. We want the representatives of the Syrian people to fill the vacant seat," Amr also said.Last Mod: 07 Mart 2013, 09:35
