Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will arrive in Egypt on Thursday, on the first visit by a Gulf Arab ruler since the ouster of elected President Mohamed Morsi three months ago.
In a Wednesday statement, the Egyptian Presidency said Interim President Adly Mansour will meet the Bahraini monarch on Thursday.
The visit reflects keenness of both countries to bolster bilateral relations and coordination on issues of mutual concern, the statement said.
A 13-strong Bahraini delegation arrived in Cairo on Tuesday to prepare for the monarch's visit and set the agenda of talks.
