Bloodshed in the Middle East and North African countries continued even during the Eid al Adha, and 622 people were killed in armed clashes ongoing in the region. 

In many countries in the region, particularly in Syria ruined by fierce clashes between the Assad regime and opposition groups since March 2011, many blasts and armed conflicts continued even during the Eid. 

In Syria between the eve of Eid on October 14 and the end of Eid on October 20, a total of 466 people --395 of whom are civilian-- were killed in armed attacks of Syrian regime forces on the opposition. 

On the other hand, in Iraq, 101 people were killed mostly due to the bomb loaded vehicle blasts in the same period of time. 

Besides, in Yemen, 33 people were killed most of whom are soldiers and police officers. 

In the same period of time, in Somalia, 25, in Tunisia 11, in Egypt 3 and in Libya 3 people were killed in the ongoing chaotic turmoils. 

During the Eid al-Adha, a total of 622 people were killed and hundreds were wounded in Middle East and North African countries.
