British humanitarian aid to Syrian people enters Istanbul

A convoy of 75 trucks which departed from England and contains humanitarian aid for the Syrian people left from Kazlicesme Square in Istanbul en route to Syria.

The aid convoy consists of 75 trucks including 40 ambulances, 5 fire trucks, 2 refuse trucks, passenger cars, and TRY 8 million in food, medicine, and clothing.

The convoy is expected to enter Syria via Turkey's Cilvegozu border crossing in Reyhanli town of Hatay province during the Ramadan feast.

The convoy had entered Turkey via Kapikule border crossing point in Edirne province on Thursday.

There are 160 volunteers in the convoy as well as an ambulance, fire truck, and pickup trucks.
