Coup costs Egypt economy US $17 bln: report

World Bulletin/News Desk

The military coup in Egypt has cost 120 billion guinay (around US$17 billion) in damages and it well exceeds the foreign financial support provided by the Gulf states.

The Middle East Monitor website, citing economic experts, stated that the Egyptian economy had a US $17 billion burden following the military coup. This figure is above the US $12 billion support given by Gulf states Saudi Arabia, Quwait and the United Arab Emirates.

The interruption of production at factories, as well as foreign investors leaving the state and exports and imports being undermined, have all contributed to the deepening of the economic crisis.

Tourism ranked first among the sectors most influenced.

regardless what I kept hearing form Egypt media and Alarabia Channel , the fact of what happen is a clear COUP .... and will not be successful ...you know why? it is not because of the failure of who supported it nor how effective is Muslim Brothers ..... but the matter of fact it was the reality no mater what supported can do. the strength of MB is being factual in their message if happen.
