Alaa al-Rimari, Anadolu Agency's correspondent in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, was released on Monday a few hours after being detained by the Palestinian Intelligence Agency.
Al-Rimari was held for a total of 27 hours at the agency's headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Following his release, al-Rimari said he had been grilled about the nature of his work for AA and the salary he received.
Al-Rimari was questioned by Palestinian agents for four hours on Saturday, before being released.
He was asked, however, to come back again on Sunday.
But on Sunday, Palestinian intelligence personnel raided his home and took him to the intelligence agency's Ramallah headquarters.
Al-Rimari has said via Facebook that he would declare a hunger strike if detained by Palestinian authorities.
He went on to call on rights groups and the Palestinian press union to defend his freedoms.
Palestinian officials, for their part, were not immediately available for comment on al-Rimari's arrest.
