Speaking at a fast breaking dinner hosted by an independent industrialists and businessmen's association in Ankara, Erdogan reiterated his country's strong opposition against the military coup in Egypt.

"Every military coup, regardless of its target, country and reason, is the murderer of the democracy, people and future of the country," Erdogan said, adding that protests in Tahrir Square did not legalize a coup.

He said, "If the squares are indicators, where will you place Rab'a Al-Adewiya Square?" and, added that the prayers of nation were enough to turn the traps upside-down.

"Those who stand against the coup in Egypt will live that honor till the end of their last breaths," Erdogan said.

Erdogan emphasized that Egypt was left alone by democratic countries, and stressed that injustice and lack of confidence were after these kind of sorrows. He reminded their call by the United Nations to NATO, European Union, US, Russia and China, adding that despite attempts, injustice, loneliness, lack of confidence were still continuing both in the world and Muslim regions.

With the televised statement of Chief of Staff Abdul Fattah al-Sisi announcing the military takeover of the government on July 3, Egypt's first democratically elected president Morsi was ousted by the army under an army roadmap.
