Egypt’s National Alliance Movement are planning to protest against the military coup on 4 November, the day that ousted president Mohammed Morsi will be prosecuted.
The protests are expected to attract crowds similar to the many protests that have been dispersed so often since the 3 July coup by armed groups and the army.
Just like the protests in the past, this one is planned to be a peaceful demonstration, with the sole intention being to defend the democratically elected former president Morsi, who is being charged with inciting protestors to violence and murder.
In an official statement the National Alliance Movement said ‘Those who committed the coup seek to destroy the will of the people and the revolution by prosecuting Morsi and his companions. We are calling the people to stand with the revolution and the opposition against the coup forces.’Last Mod: 23 Ekim 2013, 10:04
