The Turkish military said on Monday Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters had taken control of two residential areas from ISIL.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said the Sandarah and Kardish areas, located in Syria's Al-Rai town, were taken as part of Operation Euphrates Shield.
This operation began last month and saw the FSA, backed by Turkish Armed Forces, take the city of Jarabulus from ISIL.
The two areas lie to the west of the town of Al-Rai, known as Cobanbey in Turkish.
Monday’s statement added that a total area of 900 square kilometers (347 miles) had been cleansed of terrorists. The statement also said 75 ISIL targets were hit with 289 rounds from Firtina [storm] howitzers by the Turkish army in northern Syria.
The statement added that over 760 ISIL targets had been struck since the start of Operation Euphrates Shield on Aug. 24.
