The Interior Ministry in the Gaza Strip denied on Sunday reports about sending one of its top security officials to Cairo on Monday for talks with Egyptian officials.
"The report is baseless," spokesman Eiad al-Bozum told Anadolu Agency.
Some reports had suggested that the head of the Homeland Security Agency in Gaza would travel to Cairo Monday for talks with Egyptian officials.
The agency is responsible for security on the Gaza Strip borders, including with Egypt.
Egyptian authorities accuse Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, of interfering in Egypt's domestic affairs and carrying out attacks inside the country. Hamas vehemently denies the allegations.Last Mod: 30 Mart 2014, 22:20
