Lebanon's Al-Nusra, which claimed responsibility for two recent bombings of Hezbollah strongholds, declared Friday that all of the group's offices would henceforth be considered "legitimate targets."
Describing Hezbollah as "the party of Iran," the Sunni group said on Twitter on Friday that all property belonging to the Shiite group would be considered "legitimate targets, wherever they are."
The group went on to warn the country's Sunni citizens to steer clear of Hezbollah-dominated neighborhoods.
Al-Nusra has claimed responsibility for two deadly blasts that targeted Hezbollah strongholds in southern Beirut earlier this month, which left at least 11 people dead and dozens injured.
The group said the attacks had come in retaliation for what it described as "massacres" committed by Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon.
Hezbollah's intervention in the Syrian conflict next door has drawn condemnation from the group's opponents in Lebanon.Last Mod: 25 Ocak 2014, 10:59
