At least three people have been killed in the south and southeastern parts of Iran in floods caused by intense rainfall since Tuesday, officials said Thursday.
The Iranian Red Crescent spokesman Hussein Dirahshan told the Iranian Farsi News Agency that at least three people had lost their lives in the provinces of Hormozgan, Kerman, and Sistan-Baluchestan.
In addition, at least 900 houses were destroyed.
Dirahshan said that search and rescue teams were present in the flood-hit areas.
Moreover, Iranian State television said the heavy rainfall had caused $60 million in damage in the country’s southern province of Bandar Abbas.
