Iran's new president Hassan Rowhani, after taking the oath of office before the country's parliament, accelerated the process of forming government by unveiling the nominees for his new cabinet.
The names proposed for the ministries of Oil, Energy, Agriculture, Economy to the parliament came together with 60 ministers.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Security Commission met former UN Ambassador Mohammad Javad Zarif as Foreign Minister and Husein Dehkan for Defense Minister.
The commision would also meet with Abdulreza Rahmani Fazli for Interior Minister and Sayyed Mohammed Alevi for Intelligence Minister.
Rowhani named Eshaq Jahangiri, a former industry and mines minister, as First Vice President, said Rowhani's office.
Rowhani's cabinet is the "oldest" government since the inception of the Islamic Republic in 1979.
The cabinet presents no female nominee but Rowhani has appointed Parvin Dadandish as his women's affairs advisor.Last Mod: 06 Ağustos 2013, 10:00
