Israeli forces have allowed Palestinian medics to search for the bodies of three Hamas members killed in an Israeli airstrike on Friday.
In a Saturday statement, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said that Israeli forces allowed Palestinian medics and civil defense teams to search for the bodies in coordination with the Red Cross.
Four Ambulance cars already arrived to the scene early in the morning to look for the three corpses.
Three members of the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, were killed early Friday in an Israeli raid in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The strike came shortly after another Qassam member was killed in an Israeli artillery shelling in eastern Gaza.
Five Israeli soldiers were also injured in clashes during an operation that sought to destroy a cross-border tunnel.
On Friday, the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades vowed that no Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip would go unpunished.
"Gaza will always be a cemetery for invaders," Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida told a press conference in Gaza City.
Last November, Israel signed an Egypt-brokered ceasefire with Gaza-based Palestinian groups following eight days of unrelenting Israeli raids on the strip that left 190 Palestinians dead and more than 1,500 injured.Last Mod: 02 Kasım 2013, 13:10
