The Israeli army has detained almost two dozens of Palestinians during overnight raids in different parts of the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, a Palestinian NGO said Monday.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, 23 Palestinians were detained in Israeli raids in Al-Khalil, Ramallah and Nablus provinces as well as East Jerusalem after raiding their homes.
Israeli forces routinely conduct detention campaigns against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on claims that they are "wanted" by Israeli authorities.
Over 7,000 Palestinians are currently languishing in prisons throughout Israel, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs.
