The Israeli government decided on Wednesday not to hand over the bodies of the two attackers of a Jewish synagogue in Jerusalem to their families.

The government said that the bodies of Oudai Abu Jamal and Ghassan Mohamed Abu Jamal – who killed five Israelis in an attack on a Jewish synagogue on Tuesday – will be buried by its knowledge outside Jerusalem, Israeli Channel 7.

On Wednesday, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that the two attackers were group members.

Israel often holds the remains of hundreds of Palestinians killed while carrying out attacks on Israeli targets.

They are buried in a cemetery known as "the Numbers Graveyard" because the tombstones are nameless, identified only by numbers.
